Whitetail Deer Hunting in SC

William's Whitetail Deer Hunting in South Carolina offers exceptional Free-Range opportunities for whitetail deer. With deer populations at their highest in the state of South Carolina and the most liberal seasons in the southeast. Early Whitetail Deer Hunting gives rifle hunters a rare opportunity to harvest a Trophy Velvet Buck starting August 15th each year. Rifle Hunters will enjoy a long Deer Hunting Season which starts August 15th and includes using your rifle over the South Carolina Rut starting October 9th, breeding October 16-26th, second rut with breeding around November 13-24th, and the whitetail hunting season ending January 1st each year. 

Stands are strategically located throughout the hunting property around fields, in swamps, hardwoods, and pine stands to ensure a variety of hunting opportunities and views throughout our properties. Most deer hunting stands will have food plots, corn feeders, established bait pile or in some cases both. Mineral supplements and protein feeds are also used to ensure healthy free-ranging whitetail deer populations with quality racks. 

•  William's Hunting practices quality deer management and each buck must be eight points or better but inside spread is not a concern.
•  After September 15th hunters may harvest up to two deer per day, one buck and one Doe with a hunt package limit of two bucks and one Doe.
•  You will be hunting from comfortable elevated tower stands, ladder stands, and tripod stands equipped with rifle rests. Due to fact that everyone is sized differently we recommend a simple monopod shooting stick so if needed you can adjust your elevation of weapon.
• Because our zone does not have a bow season our stands will accommodate both rifle and crossbow hunters. Crossbow hunting ranges are going to be 50 to 100 yards to feeder though rifle can be out to 350 yards past the feeders in some places.
• Onsite lodging and Meals included with all multi-day whitetail deer and hog Hunt Packages.

NON-RESIDENT DEER TAG INFORMATION FROM SCDNR

We offer a family friendly cottage that sleeps five to six with two separate bedrooms that include one king-size bed and a full kitchen. Our Mess Hall is where all meals are prepared and eaten, which also has two separate attached rooms. One of the rooms has four beds and the other has three beds. There are two shared full bathrooms complete with shower and are specifically for smaller groups or individual deer hunters.

Skinning Quartered or halved then packed into your cooler only $50 per harvested animal.

* A 50% per person Non-Refundable deposit required for all hunting trips, and a minimum of two hunters per reservation required for private lodging. If something prevents you from hunting your scheduled dates, we will reschedule up to one year from your original dates. All sales are subject to a South Carolina state tax.  

Any buck harvested under eight points is subject to a fine of up to $100 per point under eight and nub or button bucks are kept by Williams Hunting, you do pay for skinning ($40) and you lose your Doe privileges for the remainder of your hunt.

A 3-Night 2-Day Whitetail and Hog Hunt starts when you check in on your given date between three and four o’clock pm. Get a good night’s rest and hunt the next morning and afternoon, for two solid days. Then another good night’s rest and upon waking up depart by ten am.

A 3-Night 4-Day Whitetail and Hog Hunt starts when you check in on your given date between noon and one pm. You will be taken to a stand for your first sit around three pm until dark. Get a good night’s rest and hunt the next morning and afternoon for two days and then hunt the next morning until around ten am and then depart between noon and one pm. This hunt is also referred to as 3/3 which means three nights and six sits or three full days of hunting over 4 days.

A 4-Night 3-Day Whitetail and Hog Hunt starts when you check in on your given date between three and four o’clock pm. Get a good night’s rest and hunt the next morning and afternoon, for three solid days. Then one more good night’s rest and upon wake up depart by ten am.

A 4-Night 5-Day Whitetail and Hog Hunt starts when you check in on your given date between noon and one pm. You will be taken to a stand for your first sit around three pm until dark. Get a good night’s rest and hunt the next morning and afternoon for three days and then hunt the next morning until around ten am and then depart between noon and one pm. This hunt is also called 4/4 which means 4 nights and four full days or eight sits over 5 days.

A 5-Night 4-Day Whitetail and Hog Hunt starts when you check in on your given date between three and four o’clock pm. Get a good night’s rest and hunt the next morning and afternoon, for four solid days. Then one more good night’s rest and upon waking up depart by ten am.

• All the above descriptions are based on an average perfect weather day. We do not take you out or leave you out in event of Lightening or similar dangerous conditions.

Children, as you know, are our future and what better way to introduce them to hunting than in a target rich environment like Williams. All youth hunters under the age of eighteen can hunt with limited restrictions if they are accompanied by a non-hunting parent or guardian. On our 4-night 3-day hunts all youth hunters can shoot one buck eight points or better, one buck any size, two does and two free range hogs for the same pricing as our standard whitetail only hunts. We do this so your child can have the opportunity to really enjoy the experience of harvesting game.
